The Taichung trip starts at City Hall Building on Taiwan Boulevard. Welcomed by Taichung First Lady Liao Wan-ru and Deputy Mayor Zhang, the children were led by city hall volunteer guides to a tour of interior introduction in the building.
The children visited Taichung National Museum of Natural Science and experienced interactive features enlightening the interest towards science study. Taichung First Lady Liao Wan-ru indicated that the Museum breaks out the space limit and bring the science to the kids with internet, empowering their imagination to the world. A National Taichung Theater tour and an art exhibition featuring sound and lighting effect followed.
She mentioned that to promote digital learning, the Education Bureau is introducing the young ones with better education development by creating intelligent learning class in rural schools with digital software/hardware learning facilities.
Deputy Mayor Zhang encouraged the young generation to love exercise, concentrate on study, and make one’s own contribution to the society in the future.
Tsai Hui-ming, the Director of Taichung C, Taiwan District of Kiwanis International, mentioned that with the effort from the society’s participation, the 1st “Kids’ Dreams Come True” Program is looking to share public resources to children in need, allowing every kid to enjoy equal resources, and offered better options and directions for the future.
