This year, 13 organizations for the disadvantaged launched products for the Mid-Autumn Festival including mooncakes for the occasion and beautiful and practical handmade soap. Deputy Director Chen pointed out that the disadvantaged made pastries by themselves without adding preservatives. Their products have passed strict food safety inspections and the Bureau encourages the public to list them for priority purchase. Income generated from the sales can assist the disadvantaged to fully grow and learn. These products of priority purchase are the best ones for the Mid-Autumn Festival gifts and ways to show charities.
In the press conference, Deputy Director Chen, Smile Angles, and attendees held onto the dumbbells and exercised together to remain the public during the festival, in addition to mooncake and pomelos, exercises are also important to protect themselves. Deputy Director General Chen pointed out that this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic income and donation received by organizations for the disadvantaged decreased sharply; he called for private and public sectors including groups and individuals to support the disadvantaged with purchase action to buy products made by the disadvantaged.
