Director General of the Social Welfare Bureau, Peng Huai-Chen said Taichung vows to become a gender equal city that focuses on gender equality and rights for women and children so as to develop Taichung into a great city for birth and growth. "Five Star" in Mandarin Chinese sounds similar with "pregnancy" in Taiwanese and "good pregnancy" means "fortune" and the five stars present welfare information on nursing for pregnant women and children, parenting, child caring and women in the community.
Director General Peng pointed out that the Pack is creatively named with easy to read editing and warm design style for target readers including pregnant women and new parents by integrating relevant welfare information of the Social Welfare Bureau to help the public to know and apply for subsidies. The Public can pick up packs at the Women Welfare Center, the New Immigrant Service Center, the Parent-Child Centers, the Juvenile Welfare Center, the Family Welfare Service Center and the Senior Service Center and the Disabled Welfare Service Center in Taichung.
Additionally, the public can also visit the designated area of Gender Equality of the Taichung City Government (https://ge.taichung.gov.tw ) to download the pack.
