  Love Never Stops! Continuous Donations for Pandemic Relief by Charity Organizations in Taichung City
 
During the COVID-19 pandemic, love has been continuously spread! The Taichung YSL Kiwanis International Foundation donated 30,000 pieces of masks for both adults and children to protect health of the disabled and the young; the Taichung Industrial Park Tung Ci Association donated 10,000 pieces of masks; and EASTERN GLOBAL CORPORATION cared about the homeless and donated 1,200 boxes of dry food. The Social Affairs Bureau thanked the charity organizations for their donation of important resources for pandemic relief.
The Bureau said that based on the service principle of "caring for kids with far-reaching services" The Taichung YSL Kiwanis International Foundation donated 30,000 pieces of masks to the youth replacement institutions and after-school caring service stations for the disabled kids to protect their health and provide them with a warm and safe growing environment. Additionally, the Taichung Industrial Park Tung Ci Association followed its spirit of being and caring for the disadvantaged by donating 10,000 pieces of medical masks manufactured by a factory in the Tanzi Technology Industrial park to help those in need to stay safe and healthy during the pandemic.
To help the homeless to meet their daily needs, EASTERN GLOBAL CORPORATION donated 1,200 boxes of dry food for pandemic relief to the Bureau and assistance organizations for the homeless including the Zanan Homeless Social Welfare Foundation, Taichung, the Taichung City Homeless Caring Association, the Taiwan Glad Tidings Family Care Association, the Good Samaritan Women Center in Taichung, and the Taiwan Family Care Association.
The Bureau added that social workers frequently visited the homeless to distribute masks and pandemic relief resources and until now, 161 were helped to screen for the COVID-19 test with a negative result. The Bureau will continuously help the homeless to stay safe and healthy by connecting them with medical services.
