Taichung City Parents and Children Center and Public daycare Centers Begin Enrollment
2018-10-02
The first center in the city that combines a parents children center and a daycare center is located on the second floor of the Pinglin Branch of Taichung City Library. Its grand opening is scheduled for October 9. The parents children center started a trial run on September 26. The daycare center has begun enrollment for 30 infants and toddlers age zero to two.

The parents children center at Pinglin has started a trial run on September 26, Tuesday. Reservation registrations can be made online or in person. The center offers a diverse curriculum of courses and workshops on parents and children. There are five themed exploration zones, offering participants an environment in which to play and learn. We also offer assistance to help caregivers choose safe and appropriate educational toys. We guide caregivers and children to play and learn together and to strengthen their bonding. Currently, we are calling for entries to name the mascot for Taiping District, a loquat spirit. You are invited to visit the fan website of the parents children center and a daycare center and cast your vote to select the name.

The Bureau of Social Services indicates that the childcare policy of Taichung City has centered on vertical integration. The policy has been well received since its introduction in July 2015, yielding the best coverage ratio among all affordable daycare centers in the nation. The city has actively established public daycare centers in order to lower the child care costs for the families. In response to the calls of caregivers of children between the age of four and six, the city has also widely established parents children centers that provide age-appropriate space and facilities for games and play. The city is on its way toward the goal of having one parents children center in each district in the city.

The daycare center in Pinglin will hold information sessions on October 2, Tuesday, 10:30am and October 9, Tuesday, 2:30pm, during which we will show what sets our center apart, provide detail information about enrollment, and answer any questions that you may have. We provide diverse daycare information to parents in need of such services.

The Bureau of Social Services indicates that the daycare center is for daylight care for 30 infants or toddlers. The time of care is between 8:00am and 6:00pm, Monday through Friday. One of the parents or guardians must have established a residence in the city and must meet enrollment criteria. A registration is required.

Time for registration: from now to October 15, Monday, 4:00pm. If more than 30 applications are received, a drawing will be held on October 17, Wednesday, at 9:00am. If you have a need, please register during the time specified above.
