Today, Mayor Lin, accompanied by Deputy Mayor Yi-Ying Lin, Ching-Tang Wang (Director of Municipal Sport Bureau), and Jen-Der Lue (Director of Social Affair Bureau), went to the Chaoma Sports Center in Xitun District to host the "Opening Ceremony of Senior Card in National Sports Center", to announce the upgrade of the senior card welfare. From now on, the cardholders could enjoy the discount in various courses, swimming pools and gyms in Chaoma, North District and Nantun National Sports Center based on the card.
Mayor Lin pointed out that the previous Taichung City’s Senior Card was not widely used and not easy to use. Nowadays, in addition to taking the bus, taxi and discount in medical treatment, it could also be used in Chaoma, North District and Nantun National Sports Center. In the future, it could be used in seven sports centers such as Cingshuei and the toll facilities of Taichung City Sports Park. The service range is constantly expanding with favorable comment.
In order to encourage the elderly to exercise more, and promote the physical and mental health, coordinating with Chaoma, North District, Nantun National Sports Center, we cooperated with Easy Card and iPass Card Company. From now on, it could enjoy the discount in the three National Sports Centers for the sport facilities based on the card, so as to encourage the elderly to go out for more activities, make new friends, maintain the social connections, and be active in the elderly life.
