According to the Social Affairs Bureau, Taichung Social Innovation Unit aims to empower NPOs, volunteers, social enterprises and young entrepreneurs by integrating local social enterprises, young entrepreneurs, community development and volunteer resources platform, offering the public professional one-stop consultation and service. This year, the resident partners have attended the forum with gusto and interacted enthusiastically with the international speakers, thereby discovering the means to elevating the business momentum through experience sharing.
According to the founder of Solo Social Enterprise (4th resident group), also the mother of Po-wei, she is grateful to have been invited by Taichung Social Innovation Unit to attend the APSES. As the first social enterprise-related forum she has participated in, she not only learned about the development experiences of social enterprises in various countries but also was able to exchange the legislative process of social enterprises with international speakers.
The forum gathers 60 outstanding social enterprises under one roof, and Taichung Social Innovation Unit also set up several booths at the scene, including 1095 Culture and History Studio, which is committed to fostering dialogues and interactions between Taiwanese people, foreign migrant workers, and new residents; Ririren, which processes the agricultural waste of stem-grafting pears; Solo Social Enterprise, which is dedicated to establishing the warm power through the smart distress management platform. All of these enterprises have received wide recognition both domestically and internationally.
